Heart River Lutheran Church is located in the chapel on the campus of the Heart River Correctional Center and North Dakota Youth Correctional Center, just on the west edge of Mandan. Though it is a correctional center, there are no gates. You are welcome to enter for church.

North Entrance
This way may be shorter for many visitors, but it is technically the back entrance and may have a few obstacles. Drive west on Old Highway 10 (Main Street), taking the first left after crossing the bridge over the Heart River. Keep going straight south after crossing the railroad track, past the "No Trespassing" sign (It's okay!), and around the temporary signage and barricades directing people there for correctional center visitation.
